All schools have bullies but they are not all the same. Some steal, some call people names, and some just get in fights with others. When Bod goes to school he is happy and likes learning until he becomes noticed and the two school bullies who make him their next target. Neither one of them scare Bod one bit so he uses them to his advantage. He practices Fading, which he does successfully and also manages to try Fear out on them, which also works for him. Bod also gets into one of the bullies dreams and scares him even more. I think Bod going to school was good for him because he learned alot and not all of it was just plain school work but at the same time it was a bad idea because now people know of him. Do you think it was a good or bad idea?
It seems to be both a good and bad idea, but I seem to think it did some good for him to learn a little about what the outside world is like. Not only did he learn about the outside world, but he got to practice his Fading and Dreamwalking as you said.
ReplyDeleteI think it was good for him because he is getting more and more used to the world outside the graveyard. Maybe one day he will be able to live completely oustide the graveyard.
ReplyDeleteI think that Silas could have exposed Bod to the outside world more casually than just throwing him into a school. So i think that it was a bad idea to put him into a scchool right then.
ReplyDeleteI think that this was a great idea to send Bod to school. It taught him to interact with real people. And, it improves his Fading, Dreamwalking, and Fear. I think it really improved his socially skills - even though most of his interaction was with bullies.

ReplyDeleteBod is growing up and one day he is going to have to leave the graveyard, so it is a good idea to let him out into the real world.
Also, bullies exist in real life. They may be in the form of your boss, or your co-worker who is just trying to get you fired so that they get the promotion.
I thought it was a great idea to have him go to school.
I think it was good and bad. Because he gets to experience being a real human, but at the same time he probably will be ostracized for being a bit different.
